This week we bring to you one of the most interesting books we have come across in quite some time. Recently featured in the LA Times, 'The Circus' takes you on a journey through the circus of old and lets you experience what it was really like during the golden age. Spanning hundreds of years and with 670 pages and nearly 900 color and black-and-white illustrations, this book brings to life the grit and glamour behind the circus phenomenon.

We are always impressed with Chilewich and what they come up with over there. For the first time they have made a foray away from their traditional woven patterns and into something new. We feel like this 'Dot' pattern is going to be one of the finer additions to their already impressive catalogue.

Designed by Singgih Kartono, the Magno radio series are made of beautiful wood with a beautiful sound to match. These juxtapositions of natural wood with electronics run on batteries and come with an adapter (also with wooden highlights) for MP3 players.

Angela Adams has been making beautiful rugs for years. Anyone who has ever been to the coast of Maine, with it’s rugged natural beauty and amazing life and vitality will be able to understand where she got her inspiration from. These rugs are hand tufted, 100% cotton, and sheared to create a textural landscape. They are masterfully crafted works of art as well as beautiful floor covering.

Back from out of production status comes the on/off light switch by New York-based wunderkind Toby Wong. Using incredibly complex technology (okay, okay it's just a wireless doodad), Toby has designed this nifty switch to turn off any electronic item remotely. Forget about clapping your hands, this is elegance in a little lucite box.

We've never yet really figured out what to really do with these gnomes, designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell. Perfect as the ultimate Starck accessory, these fellows are painted with such stark realism that you will think they are real garden gnomes! Napoleon (doing the head balancing act) and Attila measure 17.5" x 13.5", while the Saint Esprit table/stool measures 16.5" x 13.5". These fellas can be used anywhere you can imagine, but if you use them outdoors some fading may occur over time.

Not for stovetop use, this teapot is designed by Ole Palsby, a Danish designer known for his minimal but beautiful creations. Designed around a wire mesh infuser which contains loose tea leaves, the Concept glass tea pot allows you to enjoy the brewing process as much as the end result.
